John Galliano in better days

John Galliano’s Fall/Winter 2012 presentation went ahead today as planned. Held in a hotel particulier on the avenue Foch, the venue was kept extremely confidential, so besides a few gawkers, there were no paparazzi or street photographers. The designer himself was not present, as he is said to have entered a rehab facility in Arizona. Details on the show to follow soon!

On Sunday evening Le Fooding celebrated the last of their 10th anniversary events with Alberto Herràiz from Le Fogon and Cédric Casanova from La Tête dans les Olives at the adorable hotel L’Hôtel Particulier.

Guests were greeted with a coupe of Veuve Clicquot, adorned with a special biscuit dreamed up by Apollonia Poilâne, “Le bécot Clicquot.”

The paella from Herràiz was a treat and the summer salad by Cédric Casanova was simply amazing! A delicious mix of oranges, anchovies and olives.

Exploring the Hôtel Particulier, a former private residence, was a thrill in itself: women were trying on designer vintage dresses in the Didier Ludot suite and Maxence Cyrin was delighting the crowds with his piano stylings.

The evening was capped off with a delicious ice cream dessert from Häagen Daz – the pièce de resistance? A scrumptiously crunchy fortune cookie adding just the tiniest hint of a salted butter taste. To die for.

Happy birthday Le Fooding, 10 years in style.
